Israel, Jerusalem & The Nations; Rushing Toward The “Midnight Hour”.

On 29th November 1947 the United Nations, under Resolution 181, made provision for then Palestine to be divided into a Jewish and Arab state. The Jews accepted but the Arab-Islamic world not only refused partition and peace but chose to openly proclaim its agenda of eradicating the reborn State of Israel in its ancient Biblical homeland.

The 1948 Arab Response To UN Partition Of Palestine In Their Own Words.

The combined intention, celebrated enthusiastically all over the Arab world, was expressed plainly and publicly by Azzam Pasha, Secretary-General of the Arab at a Cairo press conference, May 15, 1948;

"This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre, which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades."

The following is a direct quotation during 1948 of the public declaration of Jamal Al-Hussein, the Vice-president of the A.H.C. (Arab High Committee - the effective Palestinian-Arab `government');-

"We are sadly and PERMANENTLY determined to fight to the last man against the existence in our country of ANY Jewish state, no matter how small it is..."

A general public circular of the same Arab High Committee at that time also publicly declared, just
three years after the Holocaust;-

"The Arabs have taken into their own hands, the FINAL SOLUTION of the Jewish problem. The problem will be solved only in blood and fire. The Jews will be driven out."

The Arab-Islamic World Had No Time For The United Nations As It Sought Its Genocidal Agenda.

Clearly the goal of those opposing the reestablishment of a Jewish state in its Biblical homeland had no concerns for the United Nations and its role at that time, as they treated the world body with utter contempt as they jointly pursued a policy of genocide against a nascent Jewish state.

It is hypocrisy personnified that the same entities have now decided to go back to the same United Nations.

To return to the world body when the UN Security Council is conspicuously headed by Lebanon and the UN General Assembly is presided over by Qatar.

The shameless intention to manipulate the world body in order to suit the expedience of their own agenda is the utmost in audacity.

Displaying an effrontery and arrogance, the Arab-Islamic world in using the Palestinians as the “tip of their spear”, now have the impudence and undisguised brazeness to use the same international body that they had previously treated with contempt, as a vessel to obtain the very same goal that they failed to reach some 60 years ago. The Palestinian-Arab-PLO “plan of phases” is still very much in evidence.

The world should take heed that is not deceived. In my opinion, like the “Medusa” of mythology, the Arab-Islamic world has only one “head” when it comes to Israel but many “entities and agendas” emanate from this “head”. These include Hamas, Fateh, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, Islamic Jihad, a variety of PLO factions, Syria, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon/Hizbullah. The world would appear to have looked into the “eyes” of this “Medusa” and “turned to stone”.

The Political Scheming Of The Arab-Islamic World To Create “Palestine”.

While some nations have recently made a unilateral and symbolic recognition of a Palestinian state the reality on the ground remains, that although there are autonomous Palestinian areas, “Palestine” as an independent sovereign state does not exist at this time – no more than “Kurdistan”. Despite the political gymnastics within the United Nations, the 193 nations presently constituting the organization does not include “Palestine” as a sovereign state.

I read recently of how the Palestinians, throughout the so called “peace process”, have shown themselves to be the craftiest of enemies demonstrating what some see as the very ethos of Arab-Islamic culture involving perpetual plotting, endemic prevarication, systematic corruption, cunning & deviousness, inwrought conspiracy and tribal alliances with inititutional violence that nullify the concepts of fair negotiation and treaty obligation.

Political scheming has been underfoot for many months now, amid a worldwide attempt by Arab-Islamic bodies to delegitimize and isolate Israel culminating in a unilateral approach to the United Nations during September 2011with a view to gaining official interational recognition of a state of “Palestine” based upon the so called “1967 borders”.

That such a move would render all previous negotations invalid is as irrelevant to international bodies as is the falsehood surrounding the actual existence of “1967 borders” which are in fact only the “ceasefire lines” of the 1948 Arab invasion and failed attempt to annihilate the Jewish State of Israel at that time.

In 1967 the invading Arabs of Jordan lost Judea and Samaria to a Jewish enemy who held prior claim, title and sovereignty to the land, regaining it while defending themselves against another Jordanian invasion further to that of 1948, again pursuant to destroying the Jewish state.

Palestinians Admit Political Moves Are A Sham And Not Meant To Seek Peace.

Arab representatives have been quite bold in admitting that the approach to the United Nations would not be to seek an “end to conflict” but to continue their war against Israel within the official channels of the international realm.

Indeed, the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Abdullah Abdullah, admitted that recent attempts to negotiate with Israel were in fact a sham and just another step in the process of denigrating the Jewish State.

In recent months Palestinian Authority Chairman Abbas, while reportedly seeking peace, has even approached the Arab League to express his preference for a pan-Arab war against Israel if the organization would join him.

While doing so he publicly declared that any future Palestinian state would be predicated upon the ethnic cleansing of the entire Jewish population.

Abbas elaborating that should a future “peacekeeping force” be employed in any future Palestinian state, the presence of any Jewish soldier would not be tolerated. This is racism and ethnic cleansing on a national level but the world remains silent. (Links refer).

All Issues To Remain Unresolved – Including Jerusalem.

The actions of the Palestinians in approaching the UN to promote the international recognition of a unilaterally-declared independent state will leave all the core issues of the Arab-Israeli conflict unresolved and liable to provoke future conflict.

One of Israel’s basic requirements in peace negotiations with the Palestinians are iron-clad security guarantees. The Arab approach to the UN ignores this completely.

A unilateral Palestinian approach to the UN will also mean that the international community has accepted the existence of a genocidal terrorist organization sworn to destroy another UN member state.

Indeed, ALL the land the Arabs want they have held at one time or other in recent years. They have not used it to create any Palestinian state. Instead they have used the territory to destroying the Jewish presence.

After the failed joint-Arab attempt to annihilate Israel in 1948/9, Jordan and Egypt respectively then occupied Judea/Samaria and the Gaza Strip respectively for the next 19 years until 1967.

The Arab occupation made no moves to create any Palestinian state in these areas. Their real intent being clear when, having allowed the territories to be used for terrorism infiltration into Israel, they helped create the Palestine Liberation Organisation in 1964. (The Palestinians at that time describing themselves in their own charters as part of the Arab nation).

What was the Palestine Liberation Organization planning to "liberate" between 1964 and 1967? The answer, of course, must be all of Israel within the green armistice lines of 1949. These are precisely the erroneously termed "1967-borders" that have recently identified as the appropriate starting point for the “unilateral” Arab approach to the UN.

The still existing PLO/Hamas charters and phased plan are testament to this ongoing agenda wherein any territory obtained from, or ceded by Israel is to be used towards the ultimate aim of destroying Israel.

Many will remember how in full view of the cameras and an International audience, upon the lawn of the White House on 13 September 1993, the late Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabin, called for an end to bloodshed and the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians. He shook the hand of Yasser Arafat and pledged his commitment to resolve the conflict through negotiations. Arafat made the same verbal commitment in relation to negotiations being the only way forward.

However, later that very same day, Yasser Arafat made the following broadcast in Arabic on Jordanian TV;
"Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab Nations to join us for the final blow against Israel."

No Mention Of “Palestine” Or “Palestinians” In UN Security Council Resolutions 242 & 338.

Reference to “1967 borders” ignore the fact that there were no such “borders” in 1967. Indeed UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338 require that the areas conquered by Israel in the Six Day War only be given up in part, not entirely, and only when Israel’s neighbours agree to live next to it in peace. Notably neither UN Resolution mentions either the “Palestinians” or any state of “Palestine”.

The Palestinian “plan of phases” and statements of Arab leaders are extremely clear that procedures such as Palestinian “statehood” are only stepping stones towards the removal of Israel. It has always been the case, before 1948, at that time and since.

The “glue” that often holds the Arab and Muslim world together is the hatred of Israel and the Jewish presence in land that is seen as forever Islamic. This is one of the reasons why such emphasis is placed within the Arab League and the Palestinian Authority to ethnically cleanse all areas demanded for a Palestinian state of any Jewish presence.

Pursuit Of “Nationhood” ?

It was only well into the 1970s that the Arabs themselves thought up the idea of basing their campaign on "Palestinian rights." Before that, they had a far more candid approach and demanded openly that the Jews be tossed into the sea.

The "Palestinianization" of the campaign of Arab aggression arose from their realization that you can further your agenda far more successfully through the political goals of self-determination and nationhood than with declarations of intended genocide.

The Palestinian leadership has been little more than a terrorist kleptocracy, which for all their shrewdness in the propaganda wars and their skill in extorting financial contributions from the West they have collapsed into a culture of dependency that has abdicated all responsibility beyond that related to the proliferation of extremist groups, that have no other means of livelihood and no other expertise than violence within a society given to summary executions and the extremes of mob pathology.

The amount of good money, syphoned directly from the pockets of Western taxpayers and poured down the sinkhole of the Palestinian “economy” defies calculation, with Western politicians admitting that the Palestinians have received more financial, and humanitarian aid, than any other people group in the world and more proportionately than any other group in recorded history.

The Palestinians are tainted from the cradle through anti-Israeli, anti-Jewish indoctrination which begins in the early, formative years and continues through the various tiers of primary and secondary education, culminating in a synthetic view of history that stresses the absolute necessity of regional conflict.

It is not for nothing that, without exception, Palestinian textbooks supplied by the Palestinian Authority, and funded by the European Union, have no space in the maps for the sovereign State of Israel, no mention of its six million people and no recognition of the Jews' historic links to Jerusalem.

The “Nations United” Against Israel - “UN-istan”.

Should any Palestinian state be recognised at the United Nations, it will be without any mutually-negotiated security guarantees and one that has refused to formally recognise the existence and borders of the State of Israel.

The pursuit of Palestine as a state is premised not on territorial compromise but on Israel's eventual demise, which is not a policy of state-making but of state-displacement.

The United Nations is so swamped by Arab initiated resolutions that it is impossible to tell where the agenda of annihilating Israel ends and the pursuit of statehood begins. The reason in truth being that they are inextricably linked to each other.

It should be no surprise that the Palestinians embrace the United Nations, when the latter sustains its own “Palestinian Units,” including the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, the Division on Palestinian Rights, and the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories.

The UN has repeatedly held "Emergency Special Sessions" focusing solely on Israel and even holds an annual "Palestine Day".

The UN Human Rights Council itself is obsessed with condemning Israel which is the only country listed on the Council’s permanent agenda and which is subjected to an investigatory mandate that examines the actions of only one side.

By comparison Israel, due to Arab-Islamic pressure, is the ONLY nation prohibited from sitting on the UN Security Council where Arab-Islamic nations regularly sit and head the Security Council and vote on legally binding issues pertaining to the Jewish State, which is unable to even have a say on matters critical to its very existence.

The unsettled Palestinian refugee problem itself is owing directly to the “war aims” of the Arab nations & their UN collaborators who, instead of integrating people displaced during the 47-49 war, as happened in Israel with its own inundation of refugees, have together built & maintained an artificial squalid camp system upon which the very existence of the UNRWA depends – an organisation specifically designed to accommodate the Palestinian refugee, which defines such as any Arab (and his increasing plethora of descendants) who lived in then Palestine for only two years prior to 1948.

Israel Wants Peace.

Jews want to live in peace, but a list of wars in which Arab states and/or their terrorist have tried to drive them into the sea, and a terror campaign by Palestinians who reject the idea of a Jewish state, have left the Israelis with the tragic choice between self-defense and self-destruction.

No other nation on earth is expected or asked to do what is being demanded of Israel. Israel is being asked to place a trust in the benign intent of regimes and societies that promote the spread of Hitlerian rhetoric and who celebrate the massacre of Jewish children. The Jews are being told they must “trust”, otherwise they are being “unreasonable”.

Israel is the only nation in history to be repeatedly attacked by neighbouring armies and after inflicting humiliating defeats upon them, is then pressurised to adopt the posture of a defeated nation by suing for peace and returning captured territory, further endangering it's very existence.

It is astonishing that the West expects Israel to make any concessions to such attackers at all. After all, forcing a country which has endured more than six decades of existential siege to give any ground to its attackers amounts to forcing such a victim to surrender.

Israel is regularly “tarred & feathered” in the international press which has joined in the worldwide consensus for a Palestinian state while those who have a far more straightforward claim to independent statehood, such as the Tibetans or Kurds are ignored. Terrorism, it would appear, does work. Arafat, Abbas, Hamas, Fatah et al have proved their case.

The “Apple Of God's Eye”.

During the ongoing unrest in the Middle East, erroneously described as the “Arab Spring”, the Muslim Brothers have used with their vision of “Judenfrei” - “Judenrein” “Palestine” as a rallying-point. Yet the world seems either deaf to the rantings of the Arab-Islamic world, or silently complicit in their agenda. Media reporters tell their worldwide audience that Islam and religion has no real place in what they call the “Arab Spring”, while their very rhetoric is almost drowned out by the cries of “Allahu Akbar” from the masses in the background.

The Holocaust is repeatable and this needs repeating. The same hatred foundational to that genocide is still flourishing in the same regions, not least the Middle East.

Should Israel go under, no Jew anywhere else in the world would be immune from the growing menace of a renewed Holocaust. To trivialize the Holocaust as just one among many just won't do. The same Jewish people are still being isolated for estrangement, censure, discrimination, exclusion, boycott and eradication by elements who are not confined to terrorist regimes in the Middle East. The manner in which the US, EU, Quartet, UN and the international community as a whole is seemingly obvlious to Israel's security and the agenda confronting its very existence is disturbing.

As a Christian I find refuge and comfort that Israel has a Destiny that God alone has ordained. Their redemption, regathering and restoration is guaranteed. The God who keeps Israel does not slumber or sleep.

(Psalm 121; v4).

The Rev. David Pawson in his book "When Jesus Returns" outlines that there are 737 separate prophecies made in Scripture, with some mentioned only once and others being mentioned up to many hundreds of times.

Of the 737 prophecies mentioned, David Pawon cites that 594 (over 80%) of these have already been accurately fulfilled. The remaining prophecies, which relate to the "end times" are shown to be taking shape at the time of writing.

As the prophecies of Psalm 83 and Ezekiel ch38/39 take shape I believe that the land is ultimately God's Land. The Jews are ultimately God's People. Their Destiny is in His Hands. They are the Apple of His Eye.

God has appointed times for His People, for their regathering and their redemption. He has also appointed times for Jerusalem, the Gentiles, the nations and judgment.

God's Word reveals His Purposes and Plans for all these. He is not open to negotiation, or the unilateral agendas of those nations and peoples who seek the destruction of His People, the “dividing-up” of His Land or the desires of those who seek foreign “gods” in His Land.

"Jerusalem, Israel And The Nations In Prophecy"

It is not “rocket science” to envisage the situation should the international community decide to take such action against the Jewish state in order to create another Arab state on Israel's Biblical homeland.

The individual is left to consider and study the Scriptures for his/her own interpretation of how the Word of God perceives such an eventuality.

"In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I WILL GATHER ALL NATIONS AND BRING THEM DOWN TO THE VALLEY OF JEHOSHAPHAT. There I will enter into JUDGEMENT AGAINST THEM CONCERNING MY PEOPLE ISRAEL, for they have scattered My people among the nations and DIVIDED UP MY LAND.." (Joel 3; 1-2).

"Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehosaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations....Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness. The Lord also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel." (Joel 3;12-16)

"Thus says the Lord who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him, "BEHOLD I WILL MAKE JERUSALEM A CUP OF TREMBLING TO ALL THE NATIONS, WHEN THEY LAY SIEGE AGAINST JUDAH AND JERUSALEM...And it shall happen in that day that I WILL MAKE JERUSALEM A BURDENSOME STONE FOR ALL PEOPLES; all who would heave it away will SURELY BE CUT IN PIECES, though ALL NATIONS OF THE EARTH AE GATHERED AGAINST IT.." (Zechariah 12; 9-10).

"And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike ALL THE PEOPLE WHO FOUGHT AGAINST JERUSALEM; THEIR FLESH SHALL DISSOLVE WHILE THEY STAND ON THEIR FEET. THEIR EYES SHALL DISSOLVE IN THEIR SOCKETS AND THEIR TONGUES SHALL DISSOLVE IN THEIR MOUTHS.." (Zechariah 14;12).

"For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. Declaring the end from the beginnning and from ancient times things that are not yet done.." (Isaiah 46; 9-10).

"The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect" ......."The Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples, But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His Heart through all generations.." (Psalm 33; 10-11; NKJV & NIV).
