The War On God's
People; Anti-Zionism and Anti-Semitism.
"...The anti-Semite rejoices at any opportunity to vent his malice. The times
have made it unpopular in the West to proclaim openly a hatred of the Jews. This being the case the anti-Semite must constantly
seek new forms and forums for his poison. How he must revel in the new masquerade. He does not hate Jews; he is just anti-Zionist!
When people criticise Zionism, they mean Jews, this is God's own truth..."
(from
the writings of Martin Luther King Jr.)
It is my humble opinion that, in these latter days,
if we are to look at the world the way the Scriptures do, we must now view all the actions, of all peoples, from the vantage
point of Israel.
Satan knows very well the Biblical
prophecy that the restoration of Israel will set the stage for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. When Jesus Christ returns,
Satan knows that he will be incarcerated, and then ultimately cast into the Lake of Fire. Thus, with the restoration of Israel,
Satan realizes that his days are numbered.
Having
failed in his attempts through persecution, pogroms, and the Holocaust to either destroy the Jewish people or thwart their
physical restoration to their ancient Land, the prophetic implications for Satan mean that he is now engaged in a bid to remove
the Jewish people from their Land, and from the city of Jerusalem.
This has already involved a series of wars with the surrounding Arab/Islamic nations, and
more recently an ongoing concerted international effort to delegitimize the very existence of the Jewish state, and to seek
its demise through the political platform.
A process
which has even queried whether the Jews, as a people, constitute a nation and are therefore worthy of being allocated a state
at all.
This increasingly visceral disdain
towards the Jewish state has prompted me to look into the issues of both anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism.
Hitler gave anti-Semitism
a “bad name”.
The rising flood of anti-Semitism under the pseudo
guide of “legitimate” criticism of Israel is raging unabated throughout the
Western world, not least in this country.
There has been indignation on the part of many, however hostile to the Jews, at being painted
with the anti-Semitic “brush”.
Hitler gave anti-Semitism a “bad
name” and there is widespread reluctance on the part of even the most severe critics of the Jews to
accept this label.
Criticism of Israel, like that of any other nation, is quite normal as long as it is comparative, contextual,
and fair.
However, when the Jewish nation is the only party criticized for faults, often obsessively,
that are far worse among other peoples, then such criticism crosses the line from being acceptable
to being blatantly anti-Semitic.
Anti-Semitism today, whether crude or sophisticated,
very often travels under an alias called anti-Zionism.
The legions of the world's professing anti-Zionists purport
to be neutral in their attitude towards Jews and Judaism, opposing only the founding of Israel, its continued existence, or
its policies.
However, the quality of their obsession with the malefactions
of the Jewish state alone, among all the member states of the world community, and the extremity of their denunciations of
it, show what is really concealed under their mask.
The
Anti-Zionist “brief”.
Most honest individuals
who are conversant with the anti-Zionist “brief”, know full well that it is mostly a pure invention of
the anti-Semitic mind.
Even the proponents of what they call anti-Zionism,
are often utterly obvivious of the true nature of the morbid and primal hatred that they cherish inwardly.
Indeed, the vehemence and toxicity of their rhetoric often falls back on the familiar cliches of Jew-hatred, showing
that they are merely using a political argument to camouflage a religious, racist or ethnophobic sentiment.
To them, under the habit of so called legitimate criticism of Israel, and the querying of
Zionism, anti-Semitism has now become “safe”, providing a cover for vulgar ideas, beliefs and a shrewd
tactic to cloak the fundamental hatred.
The 3 stages underlying anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism being;
'you cannot live among us as Jews',
'you cannot live among us', and finally
'you cannot live'.
Many elemens with the international community are now also declaring to Jews “you cannot live in a state of your own”.
It is anti-Zionism that has become the new racism, along
with Palestinianism which demands the ethnic cleansing of the Jews, and not Zionism. The
mind spins at the moral reasoning which informs such an egregious fallacy.
The Holy Bible and the Jews.
Historical events concerning the Jewish people, and their return to the Land of Israel,
have continued to prove the Holy Bible to be word-perfect in its predictions.
The prophetic
end-time promises of God continue to be fulfilled, with Israel and the Jewish people being the focal-point amid events which
will soon culminate in the return of the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ.
The Bible
is essentially a record of Israel written by Israelites, partly in the form of history and partly in the form of prophecy.
The closing drama of the present age will be enacted in the land of Israel. Taken
together, the historical and prophetic portions of the Bible constitute a complete history of the people of Israel.
Written centuries before the events they describe. Yet they combine a degree of accuracy
and vividness that could not have been excelled by an eyewitness.
The
Nations.
While there have been many
great nations in the history of the world, the Holy Bible makes it very clear that, originally, there was only one “nation”,
just as there is only one “race”, the human race
which descended from Adam.
“...the whole earth had one language and one speech...”
(Genesis 11; v1).
After the Genesis flood, the world was repopulated through the sons of Noah.
Each of the ensuing nations owing
its ancestry to one or other of Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Each nation having to “begin” somewhere, and with someone.
“...Now the sons of Noah
who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth.....These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth
was populated....” (Genesis 9;v18, 19)
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel).
Subsequently through the genealogy of Shem, was born Abram (Abraham). Through Abraham, and
the lineage of his descendants Isaac and Jacob (Israel), God chose the Jewish nation to bring His message and plan of redemption
to the world.
In so doing God set the boundaries and times for all the ensuing
nations, all of whom owe their descent to the sons of Noah.
“...When the Most High divided their inheritance to the NATIONS,
When He separated the sons of Adam, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.
For the LORD'S portion is His people; Jacob (Israel) is the place of His inheritance...” (Deuteronomy
32; v8, 9)
“...And
He has made from one blood every NATION of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed
times and the boundaries of their dwellings...” (Acts 17; v26)
The Jewish national line of today, is found through the line of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
(Israel), and thus defines Jewishness in terms of nationality.
This nationality is not confined to the state of Israel alone, but includes
all Jewish people no matter where they are. It is a nationality based on descent, and not on Zionism, or religion.
The New Testament makes it clear, that the identity of Jesus as an Israelite, did not cease with the end of His eartly
life.
Jesus is still described
in heaven as “the Lion of the tribe of Judah” and the “Root of David”. Jesus Christ
is STILL the “King of the Jews”.
He is forever “the Lion of the tribe of Judah”.
He is forever identified with the family of David, the tribe of Judah, the people of Israel. He is forever an Israelite.
Well over 90% of the people portrayed in the Gospels
are Israelites. Essentially the Gospels are a record of Israelites, set in the land of Israel. Every one of its 27 books was
authored by an Israelite.
Biblically speaking the Jewish people are a nation,
due to their descent through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel).
The implication of this Biblical definition is that no matter what a Jew does, he can never
become a non-Jew; no matter what he/she believes they remain a Jew. Nothing, absolutely nothing, can change the fact that
he/she is a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
A Gentile is anyone who is not a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel). In short, a Gentile is anyone who
is not a Jew. The Jew is the nationality, the religion is Judaism.
“Judenrein” to “Judenstraatrein”; Free of Jews to free of a Jewish state.
In the past the most dangerous anti-Semites were
those who wanted to make the world Judenrein - free of Jews.
Today the most dangerous anti-Semities might be those who want
to make the world Judenstaatrein - free of a Jewish state.
Under the guide of a professed legitimate criticism of Israel, hate-filled elements have
cloaked their disdain for the Jews in the more socially acceptable political/humanitarian euphemisms of anti-Israelism or
anti-Zionism.
The
progressive and utter delegitimization of Israel, the Jewish people, and their right to exist as a nation in their ancient
Biblical homeland, is an increasing phenomena.
One of the most common arguments being that Jews are a religious community, rather than a national entity, and therefore
have no right to a state.
Proponents
of this mindset are alarmingly ignorant of historical facts, already cited, which clearly show that the Jewish people are
indeed BOTH a national and religious entity, descending from Abraham, through Isaac and Jacob (Israel) to the present day.
Clearly, there is a religion
called Judaism, which can incorporate a variety of differing beliefs and to which any individual can convert. Yet this can
be, and often is, distinct from the Jewish ethnicity, and needs to be recognized as such.
It is also possible to be a Jew and be a subject of another nation.
The apostle Paul declaring himself to be both a Jew and a Roman citizen.
The
Jews; A people with their own land, capital city, culture, monarchy, religion and language.
Initially referred to ethnically
and religiously as the “Children of Israel”, Israelites or the Hebrews, the
term Jew was initally assigned to the self-same nation group to describe the Israelites since their return from Babylonian
captivity, again as a distinct people and nation.
Indeed, throughout their enforced dispersal among the nations, from which
they have been regathered to their ancient honeland, the Jews have remained an unassimilated and distinguishable people.
The Jews are now once again a distinct people with
their own land, their own capital city, their own culture, religion and language.
Whereas they once had their own monarchy and a plethora of kings,
they now have their own democratic government. In the not-so-distant future, their King will return.
Indeed, the Jews were never a people without a homeland. The Land
always existed, as did a Jewish presence within it. It was only Jewish sovereignty in the Land that was missing.
Jews in the Diaspora never ceased to give expression
to their anguish at their deprivation of their ability to return, and for millennia Jews gave voice to their attachment to
Zion.
Ever since the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD, the Jewish people had held to the dream
of returning to Zion. Dispersed throughout the civilized world, sold into slavery, impoverished, persecuted, still they clung
to their identity. Year after year in the Passover ceremony they faithfully recited “Next year in Jerusalem”.
The Land belongs to God.
"The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is MINE;
for you are strangers and sojourners with Me." (Leviticus
25; 23)
"..a
land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are ALWAYS on it, from the beginning of the year to
the very end of the year..." " (Deuteronomy 11; 12).
In view of the relentless pressure upon Israel to yield
up Judea and Samaria for a “Palestinian State”, it is essential that concerned people understand clearly,
the basis upon which Christians are called to support
the legitimacy of the State of Israel, and of the Jewish people's right to occupy the whole of the Land of Israel, including Judea and Samaria.
The outworking of divine purposes, unfolded in advance through the
prophetic Word of God, show in no uncertain terms how, in the latter days, He would regather Israel in the land He
had appointed for them as a people.
If God, in His sovereignty over the nations, has indeed chosen both the Land and people
of Israel
for His
redemptive purposes, especially for this present time, then it becomes a deeply serious
matter when the nations, and the Church
in particular, deny that Divine choice.
Christian theology needs to reckon with the views of Jesus Christ Himself, and of the apostles and prophets, who
never waivered in their belief that the Jewish people, and its Land, are both decisive elements in all of history.
Sadly though, while presenting
an advocacy of Arab and Islamic opposition to Zionism, some elements of the Church and many professing
Christians have more of a “world-view” than a Biblical view. These elements
and individuals being prepared to conduct anti-Zionist propaganda from behind a religious camouflage.
Anti-Zionism.
As already stated, most individuals who are conversant with the anti-Zionist brief,
know full well that it is mostly a pure invention of the anti-Semitic mind. Many of the proponents of what they call anti-Zionism
are often utterly oblivious of the true nature of the morbid and primal hatred that they cherish inwardly.
Indeed, the vehemence and toxicity of their rhetoric often falls
back on the familiar cliches of Jew-hatred, showing that they are merely using a political argument to camouflage a religious,
racist or ethnophobic sentiment.
To them,
under the habit of so called legitimate criticism of Israel, and the querying of Zionism, anti-Semitism has now become 'safe',
providing a cover for vulgar ideas, beliefs and a shrewd tactic to cloak the fundamental hatred.
Those who assert that the Zionist movement and the Jewish state
are responsible for inflaming world opinion against the Jews, and are therefore the major cause of modern anti-Semitism, are
expediently ignorant that their mindset purports the cure for this “pathology” to be the “suppression”
of Zionism and the “disestablishment” of Israel.
A fallacious and insidious position which believes that getting rid of what
has saved the Jews from disappearing will, as if by magic, suddenly provide the Jews with the acceptance that has eluded them
throughout recorded history.
In trying
to remove or query what they regard as the wellspring of anti-Semitism - the Jewish state of Israel - anti-Zionists travel
two-thirds of the road toward accomplishing what virulent anti-Semites have sought all along.
This is a blatant refusal to restore the human right of the Jews,
not only to live, but even to live as equal citizens of the world in a state of their own.
What right do the world's political and religious leaders have
in saying that Abraham's descendants through Isaac and Jacob, are living in a land that does not belong to them, but to
another people serving a foreign god of whom the promise was never intended?
Criticism of Israel can be legtimate.
While it may be true that not ALL
anti-Zionism is informed by anti-Semitism, there is regularly an overwhelming correlation between the two. Indeed, criticism
of Israel, like that of any other nation, is quite normal as long as it is comparative, contextual, and fair.
However, as previously stated, when the Jewish nation
is the only party criticized for faults, often obsessively, that are far worse among other peoples, then such criticism crosses
the line from being acceptable to being blatantly anti-Semitic.
Attempts to discredit the God of the Bible.
I contend that sinister spiritual forces are diligently at work
to discredit the God of the Bible through the attempted division of Jerusalem and of Israel's Land.
When God made a covenant with Abraham
he gave the land of Canaan to his descendants as an everlasting possession (Genesis 15:7-21; 17:7- 8).
This promise of ownership was transferred
through Isaac and Jacob to the twelve sons (tribes) of Israel (Genesis 26:3-4; 28:13-14; 35:12; Psalm 105:8-11.)
One way of making Israel illegitimate in the Middle East is to
find ways of detaching the Jewish people form their land, or delegitimizing their heritage and claim to the territory.
Geographically,
the Bible is set in the land of Israel, historically its theme is the people of Israel. This is a fact so simple and so obvious
that most are oblivious to it.
If the
land covenant God made with Abraham long ago can be compromised, or even negated altogether, the devil will have achieved
a major victory.
The attempt to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East through
formal establishment of a Palestinian state within Israel's borders, serves to discredit the Bible and the land promise
God gave to Abraham and his descendants through Isaac and Jacob – a distinct people with a distinct national heritage,
in both the physical and religious spheres.
It testifies
against the fact that God had anything to do with the 20th century recover of the Jews to their ancient homeland.
The Jewish national line is through the line of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel) and thus
defines Jewishness in terms of nationality. This nationality is not confined to the state of Israel alone, but includes all
Jewish people no matter where they are. It is a nationality based on descent and not on Zionism or religion.
Biblically speaking the Jewish people are a nation, due to their descent through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel).
The implication of this Biblical definition is that no matter what a Jew does, he can never become a non-Jew; no matter what
he/she believes they remain a Jew. Nothing, absolutely nothing, can change the fact that he/she is a descendant of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob.
A Gentile is anyone who is not
a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel). In short, a Gentile is anyone who is not a Jew. The Jew is the nationality,
the religion is Judaism.
Judaism
itself can be often be more than just a religion. It can embody an intricate and intertwined mixture of ancestry, religion,
history, country, culture, tradition, attitude, nationhood and ethnicity.
Israel as a refuge for the Jews.
The immediate function of the reborn Jewish state in 1948 was that of a refuge.
Into it flowed, primarily, the remnant of the Jews of Europe, the survivors of the Nazi extermination caps, and also the majority
of the Jews forcefully expelled from the Arab states. The overwhelming majority of the newcomers, whether from the Nazi camps,
or the Arab countries, were penniless, owning only what they could carry.
Pending the realization of their ideal of Israel's physical elimination, the Arab states
pursued with undiminished vigour, the preparatory gnawing and nibbling at Israel's status as a member of the community
of nations, which continues to this day. Predictably this propaganda has been welcomed and supported by all the traditional
enemies of the Jews.
Apologists for the Arab-Islamic
cause, are increasingly vociferous in their disdain for the independence of the Jewish people as a nation of their own and
the Jewish people’s control of their only homeland. Detractors of Israel and the Jewish nation do not hesitate to direct
vilification to a uniquely dispersed, downtrodden, decimated people who will not give up their historic heritage, and refuses
tosurrender the territorial conditions of its security to facilitate the declared agenda of their enemies who are all around
them.
The Arabs have transmuted their
power into political terms and have applied it in every possible direction with a ruthlessness sometimes sophisticated, sometimes
openly brutal.
Israel;
land perceived by Muslims to be Islamic in perpetuity.
The existence of a non-Arab, non-Islamic state in the centre of its perceived territory,
is an offence to the Arabs and Moslems, from which honour and pride can only be restored by the removal of the Jewish state.
Any Arab attack on Israel is therefore
perceived as an act of self-defense, and any subsequent act by Israel to defend herself against act is a new act of “Zionist
aggression”.
This charge of “aggression by existence” is part
and parcel of the the ideological justification for the physical destruction of the Jewish state.
The Jews have remained a distinct body of people throughout the Diaspora.
The Jewish people have displayed a remarkable
persistent to remain separate as an entity, a distinct body of people kept alive for century after century, despite monstrous
persecution, culminating in their ultimate restoration to their Homeland.
The existence of a state with a Jewish majority, eliminates to a certain extent any temptation
to assimilate, as being a Jew there is accepted as normal and not discriminated against as elsewhere
The rebirth of the Jewish nation, a homeland for the
Jewish people, is evidence that God has not abandoned His Jewish children. It is the answer of the Lord of history, to the
gas chambers of the nations.
Neither
the cruelty of the centuries, nor the weariness of the long wait, the Crusades, the Inquisition, nor the pogroms, have been
able to erase from the face of the earth, the people descended through the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who became
named Israel.
The Jewish people in exile had not ceased to speak the Biblical language, although adopting two other dialects of
their own, Yiddish and Ladino.
What Israel should be stating explicitly and repeatedly is that it is the Jews who are the indigenous people of what
are now Israel and the West Bank - and indeed beyond.
Commentators often refer to Judea and Samaria as “Biblical”
names as if they can therefore be disregarded today. Not so. Judea and Samara were the true historical names for Israel and
the West Bank, used in international treaties and official documents of the Palestine Mandate period, and throughout which
land the Jews were given the legal right to settle.
Only now as the west mimics the Arab attempt to airbrush the Jews
out of their own history have these names become synonymous with Jewish extremism.
The hatred camouflaged as “anti-Zionism”.
The Israelis have not organized their politics around the destruction of twenty-one Arab countries,
or trained a generation of suicide bombers to achieve that goal; they have not used the UN as a medium for spreading a genocidal
ideology around the globe, or used their synagogues to preach “death to the Arabs”.
It is not Israel that possesses charters calling for the destruction and
eradication of their neighbours. All of these policies, procedures and goals are sought by Arab states and groups hostile
to the very existence of Israel.
The disdain for the “collective Jew”
embodied in the State of Israel is always present, no matter the denials of those propagating the venom, and despite their
incessant hair-splitting over the need to separate anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism.
If a play-on-words is necessary, then
“'anti-Zionist' anti-Semitism”, which portrays Zionism – the belief in a Jewish
homeland for Jews in Israel – as the incarnation of evil, is racism indeed.
Theoretical contortions or verbal gymnastics change nothing.
No matter what theoretical contortions, or verbal gymnastics
one may indulge in, the State of Israel is a Jewish state.
Whoever wants to defame or destroy it, openly or through
policies that entail nothing else but such a destruction, is in effect practicing the Jew-hatred of yesteryear, whatever their
self-proclaimed intentions.
There is nothing in the concept of anti-Semitism to prevent
the anti-Semite from making exceptions for “some Jews” who are “not like the others”, the cliché that recurs in self-descriptive denials of anti-Semitism is often “but
some of my best friends are Jews”.
If only anti-Semites were as transparent in their denials as was the English author/diplomat Harold
Nicolson when he wrote that “Although I loathe anti-Semitism, I do dislike Jews”.
Anti-Semitism is the only word for an anti-Zionism, that is so one-sided that it indicts Israel while exculpating
Israel's adversaries and so shamefully adroit in the use of moral double standards, so quick to issue false and baseless
accusations and so disposed to invert the language of the Holocaust.
The distinction between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism,
has finally and utterly collapsed. It is only sophistry, disingenuousness and corrupted conscience that continue to insist
upon such a distinction.
The internet and anti-Semitism.
What is often witnessed in cyberspace today is merely the airwaves being abused to promote a cyber-hatred of
the Jews, the engineered delivery of the irrational, which is nothing more than an annihilationist rant that constitutes a
virtual universe of hatred, that dissolves any boundary between anti-Zionism
and anti-Semitism.
Anti-Zionism is an ideology which seeks in practice to deprive the Jew of
his right to an equal place in the world; to limit his activity and freedom of movement; his human civic and political rights,
and even his very right to exist.
Both anti-Semitism
and anti-Zionism imply that the Jews have no claim to be a free
independent people like other
peoples, and proceed to create an anti-Jewish discourse by demonising all Israeli Jews, and all Jewish supporters of Israel,
as the political enemy.
Traditional anti-Jewish stereotypes and defamations are repackaged in contemporary political terms. Attacks against
Israel are then launched in language previously employed to demean Jews.
The “Zionist” label merely allows for the condemnation of the Jews, not as bearers of an ethnic or racial
particularity, but as the perpetrators of a colonialist political movement.
This is nothing more than a clever linguistic “strawberry” that deflects from the true intent of the accuser.
Anti-Zionism is unique in only one way; it is the first form of Jew-hatred to deny that it
hates the Jews.
While
manifestations of anti-Semitism have varied throughout history, the one common thread which unites them all is that such bigotry
existed as an a priori phenomenon,
and was not informed by any particular Jewish behaviour.
Modern anti-Semites
don't necessarily gravitate towards Jew hatred as the result of Israeli behaviour, but will disproportionately seize upon
such if it is available, for use as a vessel for the propogation of their hatred.
The
Nazis held the Jews to be a distinct race for the purposes of the Holocaust.
The Nazis themselves had created,
through their ideology and propaganda, the belief that the Jews were a race and a national entity, not just a religion with
different cults and personal beliefs.
The Nazi
ideology itself promoting the Jews as a race and a “sub-human” one at that, rather than a religion.
The Nazis
who sought to annihilate Jews, did not deem it necessary to enter
further into the subtleties of the word “nation”.
They knew what constituted a Jew, where to
find them and had decided beforehand what they intended to do with them.
The definition of an anti-Zionist
ideologue is continually evident as someone who can spin almost any Israeli act or government policy, as evidence of the state's
villainy, and then seeks to disseminate such as wildly mendacious propaganda against Israel.
Today we witness many an ingenious enemy of Zionism, who dresses up his opposition to Jewish aspirations with
praise, and disguising curses when supposedly bestowing blessings.
Embarking upon a frenzy of hatred and calumny, the malevolent anti-Zionist
often attempts to cast aspersions on Zionism, Israel and the Jews, while hiding behind the mantle of a “neutral expert”.
These prejudiced champions of the Arab/Islamic agenda, should have the integrity to come out from behind this deceitful veneer of objectivity
and admit their true position.
Closet Jew-haters are eager to seize upon anything as proof of Israeli skullduggery with
which to reinforce the arguments of Israel's detractors and these are then used to call the character of the Jewish nation
into question.
Thus the anti-Semite is able to release his intrinsic savagery without succumbing to remorse, shame or guilt. He
may even persuade himself that he is acting for the benefit of humanity. Anti-Semitism may then be expediently described as
a socially approved form of sociopathic behaviour.
For religious, political or regional reasons, among
Jews there have always been those who turn upon their own people, often with the sophistry and malice of the sworn anti-Semite.
But being a Jew they are always unsafe among the anti-Semites (however they are cloaked), no matter what sacrifices they are
prepared to make, to reject their “Jewishness” and temporarily ward off the world's animousity prior
to subjugation or annihilation.
Anti-Zionism is now being used to cloak a terrifying nexus between genocidal
Arab-Islamist hatred of the Jews and deep-seated European prejudices. This has led to a dialogue of the demented in which
rational discussion is simply not possible because there is no shared understanding of the meaning of language. So victim
and victimiser, truth and lies, justice and injustice turn into their precise opposite.
Holocaust inversion.
The key motif is a kind of Holocaust inversion with the Israelis being demonized as Nazis and the Palestinians
being regarded as the “new Jews”. Israel and the real Jews being systematically delegitimized and dehumanized as a necessary
prelude to their ultimate destruction, a process openly declared in the Palestinian charters.
Contemporary anti-Zionism has absorbed all the stereotypes and foundational
texts of fascist and Soviet anti-Semitism and applied them to the Middle East. Every stratum of Arab society has been nourished
on the myth of Israel's illegitimacy and has been encouraged to express its loyalties through aggressive hostility to
the Jewish people and its land. That there is likely to be another attempt to destroy the Jewish people is not a question
of “whether”
but “when”.
The new anti-Semitism does not discriminate against
Jews as individuals on account of their race. Instead it is centred on Israel and the denial to the Jewish people alone, of
the right to self determination and a Jewish state.
It being claimed that since the Jews were not regarded as a
“people” – the very claim enshrined
in the PLO's charter – the Jews were not in need of a Jewish homeland
The language being used exposes as a cruel delusion, the common
belief that the Middle East crisis would be solved by the creation of a Palestinian state, yet another Arab state called
“Palestine”.
The key motif is a kind of Holocaust inversion with the
Israelis being demonized as Nazis and the Palestinians being regarded as the “new
Jews”.
Israel and the real Jews being systematically delegitimized and dehumanized as a necessary
prelude to their ultimate destruction, a process openly declared in a number of Palestinian charters.
Anti-Zionism being used as a “fig-leaf” for prejudices rooted in both medieval Christian and Nazi demonology. The Left's banner
and language giving rise to distortions, fabrications and slander about Israel and its supporters in both the media and political
realm.
The Jewish State is ridiculed for defending itself against its enemies.
In politics, certainly in international relations, morality is expendable. All that is required are the appropriate
words to cloak pragmatic policy with a semblance of respectability.
Whenever Israel
engages in military action, however defensive that action may be, the suggestion that the Jewish state may be committing “war
crimes” lurks in the background like a crouching-tiger waiting to pounce on its prey.
The specific charge of “war crimes” forms part of a wider discourse in which Israel is consistently
accused of violating international law. Its cumulative and intended effect is to cast Israel as a pariah. This is all part
of an unusually emotive and discriminatory mode of discourse which forms part of a pattern of discrimination against the Jewish
state.
Almost all the developed nations of the world today are dependent, in varying
degrees, upon a continuing supply of oil from sources in the Arab-Islamic states of the Middle East. Thus oil has become an
international political weapon. Through its use, the Arab-Islamic nations command a measure of influence worldwide that they
could never otherwise have achieved.
The elements hostile to the very existence of the Jewish
State of Israel have not hesitated to use this influence for their own expedience in the political realm and within the body
of the United Nations.
The Arabs, with 650 times the land area of Israel, instead
of helping to solve the self-inflicted Palestinian problem, desire instead to keep the issue alive as a point of contention
with Israel. It seems that the Arab states care more about destroying Israel than they do about caring for the Palestinians;
and they have manipulated and intimidated many into following their anti-Israeli agenda.
“Anti-Zionist” Jews.
Nowadays the committed neo-Nazi
will find anti-Zionist Jews falling over themselves to assist him
From collaboration with anti-Semites and propagation of anti-Semitism, it is only a short step
to glorifying the murder of Jews. Many who call themselves anti-Zionists are happy to take that step. There can be no more
of an anti-Semite than one who seeks to kill Jews, whether he is a Jew himself or a Gentile. The propagators of one of mankind's greatest and longest hatreds, the Nazis, have now reproduced essays from Jews
to this effect on neo-Nazi websites.
As already stated, for religious,
political or regional reasons, among Jews there have always been those who turn upon their own people, often with the sophistry
and malice of the sworn anti-Semite.
But being a
Jew they are always unsafe among the anti-Semites (however they are cloaked), no matter what sacrifices they are prepared
to make, to reject their “Jewishness” and
temporarily ward off the world's animousity prior to subjugation or annihilation.
Gentile anti-Zionists often look to use Jewish anti-Zionist
arguments as part of their own opposition to Zionism. Indeed, some elements of Judaism incorporate their own beliefs that
Zionisn is not an inherent part of Judaism, some resisting the tenets till what they see as the coming of their Messiah.
Being incompatible with their own concept of Judaism,
such elements often reach out to groups who show a similar hostility to Zionism, no matter what underlying hatred of the Jews
permeate those very elements. Indeed, the enemies of the Jewish people are only too grateful for their support, and often
see it as a valuable weapon in their delegitimization of other Jews.
Use of these Jews to combat Zionism are part of the quiet and elitist propaganda tactics favoured
by many anti-Semites in their “anti-Zionist” agitation. While it may be true
that not all anti-Zionism is informed by anti-Semitism there is regularly an overwhelming correlation between the two when
it is expedient to the parties involved.
Anti-Zionism earns its racist character from denying the Jewish people, what it grants to other collectives such
as Palestinians. The Palestinians, who their own leadership have admitted are a recent invention to combat Zionism, are unquestionably
assigned “nationhood” by the international community, and a “right of return” to
the “Palestinian refugees” who arrived due to the failure of the Arab war-aims in 1948 and 1967.
The Jewish homeland
for the Jewish people;
The "Mandate for Palestine," a historical League of Nations document, laid down the Jewish
legal right to settle anywhere in western Palestine, the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea,
an entitlement unaltered in international law.
The
"Mandate for Palestine" was not a naive vision briefly embraced by the international community. 51 member
countries-the entire League of Nations-unanimously declared on July 24, 1922:
"Whereas recognition has been given to the historical connection of the Jewish
people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country."
The Jewish State, the double-standards of the international community and the “Language of the
Left”.
Demanding of the Jewish state
things which are not required from other countries (i.e. the application of double-standards) is, of course, anti-Semitic.
The right which anti-Zionists
attempt to deny Jews is not some theoretical one, but a right already exercised today by over half the Jewish nation, and
one which the majority of Jews want and support.
Jewish self-determination is used as a scapegoat to explain away terrorism and conflict.
Anti-Israeli lements in the Middle East, which
are of a genocidal bent, are strengthened by the fact that the Jewish right to self-determination has once
again become an acceptable subject for discussion.
Anti-Zionism disguising itself in the cloak of political
debate, but is essentially an orchestrated campaign against the Jewish State, Zionism and the Jewish people as a whole.
It is no coincidence that the one country in the region
that the Left hates above all else – Israel - is neither Arab nor Muslim.
Just as it is no coincidence that the Arab Spring replaces regimes tolerant
of minorities with Islamists and Arabists. The Left's true regional agenda is the racist agenda of its Arab members. The
Arab Socialists and the Islamists who have defined its regional positions have turned the left into a vehicle for their racial
and theocratic agendas.
It's
the senseless behavior of racist idiots and totalitarian hypocrites who think that if they call you a "racist"
first then they win the argument.
The Left has endorsed Arab and Islamic rule over the Middle East, which means that it is in absolutely no position
to criticize anyone or anything.
It will talk your ear off about Gaza or Fallujah, but it won't have anything to say
about Turkish chemical weapons raids into Kurdish areas of Iraq.
The tens of thousands of political prisoners in Turkish
jails, some there for no other crime than the use of the Kurdish language, don't exist for the left. Erdogan's casual
threat to ethnically cleanse the Armenians again doesn't stir their interest.
It is no secret that the Left
is totalitarian and that it is attracted to totalitarian movements. But few have been willing to say it openly and clearly
when it comes to its politics in the Middle East.
The left is obsessed
with the Arab Spring, which rewards the ambitions of Arabist and Islamist activists at the expense of Coptic, African and
other minorities. It is dementedly fixated on statehood for the Arab Muslims of Israel, (better known by their local Palestinian
brand), but has little to say about the Kurds in Turkey or the Azeri in Iran. The million Jewish refugees and the vanishing
Christians of the region never come up in conversation. They certainly don't get their own protest rallies or flotillas.
Pan-Arabism and Pan-Islamism.
“Palestine”,
the cynical project of Pan-Arabist and Pan-Islamist thugs, is the great obsession of the Left. Because if there's one
thing that the Middle East doesn't have enough of, it's totalitarian regimes built on Arab and Islamist identity.
And the one thing it has too much of is democratic state with a non-Arab and non-Muslim minority. And that one thing is what
they are committed to destroying.
As the “sun” of Pan-Arabism sets, the Left has turned its attention
to Pan-Islamism with equal enthusiasm. While Pan-Arabism allowed Christian Arabs some representation, Pan-Islamism excludes
based on religion. Having endorsed a racial tyranny, the Left has fallen so low that it now champions majority theocracies.
The Left's fledgling support for Kurdish nationalism has faded as Turkey has gone from a secular ally of the
Western powers, to an Islamist tyranny dreaming of empire. This perverse twist of affairs has the Left abandoning the national
struggles of an oppressed people when their rulers align themselves more closely with the bigoted regional majority.
In a clearly discriminatory manner which suggests the
pursuit of a political agenda, the term “international law” is bandied about by innumeral groups and
politicians, who have little if any knowledge of what international law actually entails in relation to Israel, Palestine
and the Middle East.
Under Zionism,
Israel retained a sizable Arab minority. The Pan-Arabists however drove out their Jews with mob violence, political repression,
prisons and public executions.
The Left's criticisms of Zionism are rendered moot by their own support for Pan-Arabism,
and their own longstanding hostility to Jewish national identity, insisting that Socialism demands that Jews assimilate into
the dominant race, whether in Russia or Western Europe.
In the Middle East and North Africa, Arabization has led to repression
of non-Arab minorities and the destruction of other cultures through the insistence on unity through race.
Denying the right
of Jews to their own race is racism – period. It is anti-Zionism that has become the “new
racism”, along with “Palestinianism”, which demands
the ethnic cleansing of the Jews, and not Zionism.
The Arab/Islamic world having made its own determined
effort to stamp out Jewish identity in the Jewish homeland, which has had an uninterrupted Jewish presence for some 4,000
years.
Those supposedly opposing
Jewish nationalism, on principle, are at the same time campaigning vigorously for Palestinian nationalism, and any calls for
the dissolution of other nation states (apart from the Jewish one) are either non-existent or dismissed as cranky.
"Palestine"
- the counterfeit State; "Palestinians" - the non-people.
Satan, the enemy of the Lord God of Israel, has been in the "counterfeiting"
business since the very beginning when, although being a created being himself, decided that he would be "like the
Most High".
During
these end-times, Satan, the master manipulator, has used the world community to create a counterfeit State called "Palestine"
to counter God's true State of Israel.
He has
created a non-people, the "Palestinians" to usurp God's true people, the Jews.
Zahir Muhsein, executive committee member of the "Palestinian
Liberation Organisation", stated specifically in an interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw on 31st March1977;-
"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation
of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality
today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons
do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand
that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism."
To garner support the world has
been deceived into believing that the "Palestinians" have endured a "Diaspora" and "Holocaust"
of their own, with a subsequent "right of return" and a genuine history and culture which includes a valid claim
to Jerusalem as their capital.
All of
these factors are totally fictitious but are given credibility by the UN and other world bodies, who are both ignorant of
the reality and complicit in the anti-Semitic agenda.
It is only the Jewish people who have to prove their authenticity. No other nation is subjected to this abhorrent
requirement, not even the Palestinians, who are being allowed to usurp the Jews and the State of Israel in the ancient homeland
of the Jewish people.
Those who presume to divide up God's Land.
I reiterate that the twelve tribes of Israel are listed ,both historically
and Biblically, as physical descendants, as are the children of Israel, the physical descendants through the lineage of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob (Israel).
Initially
called the children of Israel, Israelites or the Hebrews, they were first referred to as the Jews when they returned, as a
physical and distinct nation, from their enforced dispersal from Babylon.
The Jews never assimilated into the Babylonian
culture and they have remained a distinct people throughout the Diaspora, as have those who remained in the Holy Land during
that same period. At at one time or other the Jews have also been expelled from every nation in Europe but have still survived
two thousand years of exile and persecution, while remaining a distinct people despite exile
and dispersion.
Now, once
again, the Jewish people, are gathered in the Holy Land as a nation, on the soil of its recovered Promised Land, the young
Jewish nation exists again.
The nations
are blind, their diplomats conceited and the politicians are the toys of their own game.
The nations and their leaders, are motivated by their own
interests, and do not want to accept the Biblical vision of history, or the prophetic events taking shape.
To the nations, Jerusalem is merely a capital city like
many others, but the nations refuse to recognize it as the capital of Israel. The nations ignore the fact that God Himself
has chosen Jerusalem as His own, and demand that Israel “negotiate” with those who worship a foreign god over
its future. The nations are ignorant that the God of the Holy Bible, refers to Himself as the Lord God of Israel, and His
Son as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah – the King of the Jews (the Jewish people).
Indeed, the public at large is most abysmally ignorant of Biblical
matters, but doesn't like to admit it.
To the attentive reader of the Bible, it is clear that there is One, who in His Sovereign way, has created such a
conjuncture in these latter days.
The Hebrew prophets tell of a time when God's anger and wrath will
explode at the nations and peoples, at a very exact, appointed moment in history, when He will judge those who have presumed
to divide up His Land and persecute His people.
"This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the
sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the
Lord Almighty is his name: 'Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,' declares the Lord, 'will the descendants
of Israel ever cease to be a NATION before me.'
This is what the Lord says: 'Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations
of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,' declares
the Lord" (Jer.31:35-37 NIV).
The Creator, the God of Israel has specifically said that national
Israel would never cease to be a nation, and that he would never reject them as His people.
